PUMP IT UP

Hey, guys. I'm already breaching our clear-cut and rigid schedule by posting the weekend jam on Saturday instead of Friday. I was busy yesterday being passive-aggressively berated by a politician I was interviewing, then I spent the rest of the day trying not to cry and drowning my self-doubt in the left-over chardonnay my neighbors brought over a few weeks ago. One of them is a little bit of a heartthrob, but Kelsey and I have reason to believe he may have some drinking problems.

But this song makes me feel better. It's the B-side to "1979", with James Iha singing. I heard it for the first time last week and thought it sounds shoe-gazer-y and a little My Bloody Valentine-ish, no? Yes.

Anyway, here it is, Smashing Pumpkins' "The Boy."
